Grey Diomed

In 1926 Sam Burke wrote - 'Sir Charles Price also imported Grey Diomed foaled in 1790 and raced him in Jamaica against Lurcher and Justice, both imported horses.'

However, this statement cannot be confirmed: there are two problems - Sir Charles died in 1788, and the English records state that Grey Diomed was in fact exported to Russia, not to Jamaica. A brother to Grey Diomed, Young Grey Diomed, in fact actually foaled in 1790, could possibly be the horse referred to, but there is no evidence, so far, to confirm that supposition.
