Black Heath
At the moment I have nothing more about the race course at Black Heath Pen which existed in the 18th century. Until I enlarged the picture of the plan of the track I could not see that the squiggle at the top was in fact a man on a horse!
The owners of Black Heath Pen in the late 18th/early 19th century were Patrick Duncan, and then one of his sons, William. I have found nothing about their interest in racing or the race course on the property.
However, there is interesting information on the family in records from the Jamaican House of Assembly:
